bmwtmx, can you provide a link to your auction? Wow, I have never heard of the rule you mentioned. That is very good to know, my friend is going to sell his 92 NXS on BAT, but I'm sure he has never heard of it.

Tarek307, you pretty much got extremely lucky with your auction, it sold for about $8K more than you had it listed in other places, I don't think yours could be compared to the norm.

I wouldn't call it "lucky" when 3 or 4 people got into a bidding war over it- i had the car up for 2-3 weeks on pelican at $28,000 , wrong venue for a car like that, wised up , listed & sold on BAT for $36.5 imo Its called a good transparent accurate presentation and an extremely top notch car + a good reputation doesn't hurt either. Same goes for the Black 993 #blackmamba & even the silver 993 i sold there.

Just like eBay, BAT sales are NOT legaly binding in pretty much all states (specifically car sales). The result of the auction merely provide the buyer and seller with each other's contact information. You absolutely could've backed out if it didn't reach the price you want and you'd only be out the seller's fee.

I see the car is now up on BaT. It will be very interesting to see how this goes.
It is a rare car due to it’s production (VIN) number and it has some nice options. It looks really nicely detailed and shows well in the photos.
As a purist I don’t like to see the non-stock wheels, but they do fit period-wise with the car I guess.

I wish the seller, Brian, a good auction. We’re pulling for you!

Hey guys - thanks. I was about to post that she's up but you beat me to it. Agree on the CUP 1's...I was dying to find a good set and did for $3k but then decided to sell her as-is. Honestly, I may still buy the wheels as I think I can make some money on them at that price point. I'll wait until the auction ends and see if the buyer wants the hookup.

Well, for those following the auction you know she didn’t reach my reserve. The auction started so strong I really am surprised but timing is everything I suppose. If anyone is interested in the car please let me know. I’m not in a hurry to sell but I’m always shopping and it’s nice to have the $ and the space in case something I “must have” pops up.

I very much appreciate some of the helpful commentary many of you provided along the way. Jeff especially.

Sorry your reserve was not met. I love the carpets that are shown on the BAT site. What are they and where did you get them?

Thanks,

Thanks. Assuming you’re referring to the floor mats they are Lloyd Mats.

I looked here, https://lloydmats.com/how-to-order/, and could not find anything remotely resembling the two tone tan carpet and back hatch carpet.

It's hard to cross the 25k mark for just a red 968. The person that paid in the 30's for the white BAT car definitely paid too much. BAT is a great indication what your car is worth. If you're looking to fetch big money for a 968 you need to go yellow or go home!

Bump with a price drop. Also procured a nice working CD-2 radio that will be installed this weekend. If she stays around long enough a new set of Cup 1's is next...kinda want to see her back to 100% stock.

Hi Brian,

Can you tell me where you got your Veloce 3.6 wheels? I would like to pick up a set for my 968. Their site is less than helpful as far as locating dealers.

Best
Mikey
