968 too jackstands with floorjack?
Hi.
Maybe a dumb question but I cant seem too find a good way too get a 968 on jackstands with a floorjack!?
With 944:s there is a center jackpoint so you can easily get the whole side up and place the car on stands side by side.
How do you guys do that best on a 968?

I usually put the floor jack on the rear jack point, lift the car and put a stand under the front jack point and a stand under the torsion bar carrier. Pick a point on the torsion bar carrier that doesn't interfere with the sway bar or parking brake cables. Repeat for the other side.

Thanks Eric, will look for a suitable place on the carrier. So in front you dont use the inner body members with the welded arrow for the stands but the actual jackingpoints?

Thanks. Issue is however that the 968 dont have the center lifting point which on a 944 makes it easy too get it up on stands. On the 968 you can only use the front or rear points which I found was very unstable when trying to get it up on stands. I think though that with Erics tip with using the TB carrier it gets a bit safer. Sure wish the 968 had the center ones though....

There's also some research being done to determine if liftbars can be developed for 968s. A Portland owner will be meeting with them this week to review measurements and clearance. Should know next week if they can make them for our 968's. That could simplify the lift process.

I am Swedish so I guess shipping here would be very expensive but feedback on them would be appreciated if realized.
