Default Floor mat color

My recently picked up Midnight Blue coupe does not have floor mats. I was planning black but was consider silver versus red threads for the Porsche wording. I knew the carpet in my car seemed to be slightly off black. I just thought it was a different carpet type than in my black convertible. Finally I realized that this carpet is midnight blue also. So now I'm leaning towards dark blue mats. I'm sure they'll be lighter than my barely not black carpet. What do you guys think? Were mat colors picked by Porsche or at the dealers? What color mats would this car have had?

It's just as hard to tell in person that the carpet is not black. Same with the seat penstripes, I'm not sure what color they are.

As you know, your car is very unusual because of those optional Marine blue carpets. IMHO, the last thing you want to do is cover them up with something other then Marine blue. I would get a set of Exclusive program mats in the correct color for your car, if they are still available. The lettering will also be in marine blue. I have the part number at home and will post it for you.

Actually I did not know my car's carpet was unusual. I thought it was black. After i realized it was not black, I still just thought that was the color that they always used on midnight blue cars. Thanks for the info as always Jeff.

Try 000 043 153 10 4KV

If they don't have that try 000 043 153 10 8HP

Contact Bob at Sunset Porsche in Oregon for some of the best internet pricing.

Good luck.

Thanks Paul and Jeff. Yep, I think I got lucky that this owner wanted to sell locally and that I found the link on here that Spark started. I really had not been looking, I just knew it was not smart for me to spend much trying to make my 187k miles car nice again. Just the last couple of days I've developed a weird alternator belt slips making the car hard to start problem.
