cant send you a PM yet probably because IÂ’m still on probation but will do soon.
Yup, small world indeed. I live right off PH rd. You probably have passed my house plenty of times. Right behind GMS.
Look forward to catching up.

And living near Raj will be like having a 968 encyclopedia within shouting distance and a great guy to boot!

It will definitely put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel even if it is only for a short run across town.

Are you going to ship it out there or drive it back? I know it is December and the weather is getting iffy for a drive, but I do not know how adventurous you are.
I'm adventurous, but I lack the time to drive it back. Plus, I'd be really pissed off if I had no choice other than to drive it on a salty road. If it were a few months earlier or a few months later in the year, I would totally do it. I've grabbed a one way ticket with a test light, screw driver, tire px gauge, and set of small wrenches...no regrets!

I almost ordered an open truck to ship her, but I decided that the difference in cost, plus additional risk of damage and the cost (time or money) of a deep cleaning were too close not to just send it enclosed w/ my friends @ Horseless Carriage.

Nice, the Matador did not get the first class transportation treatment when I purchased it and arrived accordingly. That said, I spent significantly less on the car. Safe travels to your new machine.

This kind of d!ck swinging is why I am a long time lurker and new poster.

I collect antique trucks, mostly. The car hobby could learn from the truck hobby about keeping the snake in the cage. Nobody in the truck club cares what you own, what you paid, whose is nicer, how many you own, or what you don't own. Everyone appreciates everything for what it is.

I happen to think the car looks great in almost any color, but white is really sharp and clean. I didn't pay what I paid for the color, though. I paid for the pedigree. This car has been owned by people who really pampered the car. Hell, the previous owner (before Tarek) had a pretty detailed driver's log from every time he drove the car, and of course all the maintenance records are included. I plan to continue this. To me, aside from some of its more rare physical attributes, that is what makes the car as valuable as it is. I'm not the only one who thought so-- there were 3 horses in the race at the end. At the end of the day, in an auction we all pay what or close to what we think is "fair". My definition and your definition may vary.

Let's play nice, appreciate each other's stuff and mutual interest in these cars and automotive history in general, and be helpful. Ain't that hard.

Fresh off the truck. Wish it hadn't snowed yet... if only it came 6 days earlier! A little cleaner than the Matador when you first got it, @jeff968!

Looks great. Be patient, the warm weather will be here before you know it. I hope to see you and the 968 at an event in 2018!
