Would appreciate if someone could confirm I’m likely ordering the right part here as varied things come up when you google for this part. My understanding from the PET is that the cylinder head oil temp sensor, fitted between cylinders 2-3 on the inlet side is Porsche part 964 624 110 00, though the PET diagram is a bit vague on the positioning. When I google for this part I variously get “coolant sensor”, “oil cooler temperature sensor” in addition to oil temperature sensor. I think maybe the part is one and the same as a 964 oil cooler temp sensor based on the part number? Given that it seems to also get described online as a coolant sensor, it wouldn’t happen the same part as the coolant sensor that fits high on the block inlet side at the front, part 944 606 125 00? Some suppliers websites are clear as mud on whether it is indeed an oil rather than water temp sensor and whether it’s an oil cooler fitting part, most confusing. If it’s also a 964 part I might do better to search for that?

The right part will have a black connector on the top.

And yes, it REALLY costs that much!

Crazy price I'll agree. Its surely same cost to manufacture as a water temp sensor which costs a fraction of that.
