Default introduction — 968 purchase!

The ride from VA to NYC!
Hi all —

Thought I would introduce myself on the forum — I purchased a gorgeous 1993 black 968 from Revolve40 and then drove the car home from Virginia to New York City. Not my first Porsche — it shares the stables with a 2016 991, a 2002 Bioxster (for sale!) as well as a 1993 M5 and a Mercedes w123 wagon. The car is remarkably amazing shape, and I have receipts totallying about 10k in the last 1,500 miles — including a LSD transaxle (thanks Raj!) , New CUP2 wheels and tires, and front and rear brakes with rebuilt rear calipers. First priority is finding someone in NYC to preform the hatch reseal procedure!

Very nice. Black always looks fantastic on the 968s. My son lives in Brooklyn so I'll tell him to keep an eye out for you. Good luck!

I'm intrigued by the procedure below as I'm at the point of water leaking in at one spot, creaking, and generally looking ratty most of the way around. After reading a myriad of posts on the 944 forum about
spending a zillion hours on complete removal, cleaning, re-goo, reinstallation, and most of them not working I figure why not try this first. Keep the expectations low and maybe you'll at least buy some time.
