What size wheel spacers & has anyone used this Custom Wheel spacer company?
Hello all, i have a 95 968, i had read that you can't put normal wheel spacers on this car unless they are machined or something like that- Through searching i've found a custom wheel spcaers company that sells 968 spacers..i am running turbo twist 17" wheels on mine- Any recommendations on what size spacers? would 15 all around be too small? could they take 25 all around?
I guess you also have to change studs? that seems like a pretty big job..
here is the link to the company

I am not sure if i'm keeping or selling this car, but if i keep (which i'm leaning towards) i def want to add spacers to fill in those arches.

Good find!!! I’m going to contact them. I have 15mm on the rear and they are just about perfect. Was going to do the same size on the front but I’ve tried 2 different brands of 15mm on front and neither fit.

Re-read your post and with turbo twists it could be quite a bit different than the cup 1 wheels. I replaced studs on rear.... can’t recall now but seems like I went to 66mm studs all around.
It is a little bit of a job I had to hit each with a large hammer a few times to knock them loose. I ordered some steel wheel nuts to screw on end of original studs because hitting the stud itself can deform the end and then it won’t come out. Tried the c clamp method to push them out and they wouldn’t budge. Not really a terrible job though. Probably took a couple of hours.

I use Porsche factory spacers that are more like adapters and include studs. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/99636161700/

I ran into an issue where aftermarket wheels did not quite clear the center wheel bearing area of the hub. I think this might be an issue unique to 968s? The only spacers I could find I think might have been 5mm and I had them machined down thinner, can't remember although I could take them off and measure them. I think I could only get 6 turns on the stock lug bolts with the spacers full sized.
I slightly cracked the center of the wheels when the wheel distributor swore to me that they had them on a 968 in their shop (I'm pretty sure he did know what a 968 was). The crack was no big deal, but then for some stupid reason I was getting new tires at Discount Tire and I even told them to notice I was using spacers. The goofy installer decided I did not need them and crunk the wheels on down and it popped out the center of the wheel. Whereas the other side did not even crack, but I don't think the wheel was solidly tight.
Weird issue you have to watch out for with aftermarket wheels. Not really related to what you are using spacers for here. These aftermarket wheels are pretty much in need of refurbing or more likely replacement now, which was the case with my stock wheels. 186k miles will mess up some wheels.
