Default Castor block replacement?

I removed my front sway and cleaned it along with the mounts and all the hardware today. Waiting on my new castor blocks to get here today. Can you guys give me any advice on replacement? Anything unusual I need to do? Or tips?
Will take car for alignment after installed.

Two suggestions:

1. Ensure you mark or take pictures of the set up before you remove everything so you can get the suspension piece that goes into the block in the approximately position when you put it back in.

2. Most importantly is to use a torque wrench on the caster block to body bolts as they are threaded into the body. I don't know the torque value off hand, I would check Clark's Garage. You could easily strip them and you'd be up the creek.

They are relatively easy to replace.

I like to drop the front wheels on ramps before I tighten the collars on the sway bar mounts. Keeps the rubber from being twisted all the time.

The KLA sway mount brackets and the Brey-Krause lower brace does wonders on a soft top.

If you haven't looked up the torque for the hexbolts on the castor block. I found the following in the 968 workshop manual in section 40 page 6.

Coast threads with Optimoly HT. Tighten to 46NM (34ftlb).

Thank you, that's what I torqued them to.
