I had my odometer go out on my car, and after getting it fixed, I am also doing the fix for the light pipes for the dashboard illumination. I want to test out the result with the dash installed in the car prior to buttoning everything up (meaning before I put the steering wheel and airbag back on). Various postings have mentioned that connecting up the battery before reinstalling the airbag will light the airbag light, is it an issue to reset this later if I have a Durametric (which I do)? If anyone has other reasons that it is a bad idea to power the car without the airbag, please share, as I do not want to do something stupid?
