A good impact gun will remove the crank bolt without any need for a FW lock.

thanks ill keep that in mind, but where the car is now, I have no access to an impact wrench.

what about tightening the crank bolt? how do you make sure its tight enough? (my tq wrench only goes up to 70-80lbs)

Get a higher range for the lug nuts, rear lower shock mount and crank. If you plan on rear height adjustment, the setting is 180 ft #s. I bought a new one just for that job.

I have one but it's generally not worth the hassle to meet twice or to ship or something when they can be found for $60 or so. I assume you need the long one for a 968 6MT although I have the 944/968 ladymatic also.

actually cheapest was $80, was more a time issue than a cost issue
