Ding ding ding. Jeff was spot on. So much for the naysayers.

Default SY cab #1

Pretty cool, I had never watched a BaT auction before. It is interesting how much different it is then eBay, more like a traditional auction, but with the re-set 2 minutes after each bid it gives the buyers plenty of time to consider another bid. I know I predicated $30k for the car but when I saw the pictures and that it needs some work i was thinking $25k but was pleased to see it do so well. Someone got a special car for sure. Now, all we need to do is find cabs #5 and #8 (although 8 went back to Germany).

I do agree with your 2nd assessment. It was more of a $25k car considering condition. All you need is 2 interested parties to drive prices up. For its mileage, it didn't show as well as expected.
