Default My RPM gauge is not working, where does it get its signal, please help

1992 965 , Just installed the engine, fired right up, yay.... but no RPM's . My RPM gauge is working, where does it get its signal, please help

Signal comes from the connector block under the drivers seat. Do a search in the 964 forum; that's where I found the info. If you can't find anything, let me know.
Do you have a wiring diagram?

I dont have a diagram , I cant read those things, The plug that you mentioned is a simple 4 prong plug in, I'll start there, Thank you for the help

No it's an 8 pole plug on the left side of the drivers seat, under the seat.

I believe he got it fixed , came by and borrowed the gauge cluster relay for the OBC and it
came right up !

Thanks for chiming in guys found the issue, Bert from the forum who lives in DC , Pulled my fuel gauge and saw that On Board Computer Relay was missing and the Tach won't work with out it. He was kind enough to let me borrow it until my replacement arrives. Yay working now. Thanks Bert !
