Looks great. That plate is usually silver on the later cars and black on the later cars although I have seen silver ones on some of the later cars as well.

New update
I completed my winter project brakes Eibach springs and Bilstein B6 HD. I had to set the ride height with 3/4 tank of fuel, I choose to go with the 964 RS spec, measuring from the factory points, 125mm +/-5mm in the front and 220 mm +/- 5mm, I choose + 5mm all the way around, I took a few tries and test drives to get the car settled, I also measured the fenders as well, both sides on the rear 25' front right side 25' front left 25 1/4' ,
Then I remember I had a PCA friend from the track days, that has digital corner balance scales. Dave the great guy he is he let me borrow them, I set the scales up and drop the car on them, It was perfect with no adjustments needed... I got lucky here's some pic's,
I also went to my local Porsche dealership for an alignment, I went with the RS spec alignment. She handles great !
First pic with the driver, second pic without the driver. Not bad I had to do no adjustment. That was easy!

So happy to hear that Helio!! It does make a big difference.
.... Funny how I never really knew how much better it could be,... until it WAS that much better. Just last summer I went through the same thing with mine.
I'll find some pictures too (since yours are so much fun to look at !!)

So once you ceramic coat the wheels, what does the cleaning process involve? Also, is it worth ceramic coating other parts of the car? I know people sometimes will do the whole vehicle but was wondering about pros and cons in your experience.

Happy Easter every one.
Spring is here and cleaning is a must, I've been to a couple Cars & Coffee Saturday and Sunday. I love the attention it got from the McLaren guys today. Any ways here's some of the shiny bits

tree reflection is awesome Helio. Happy Easter guys.
.... I went to a "Lost in 50's" car event local here yesterday. Took the '68 Camaro. Ran great with new Centerforce clutch kit & tranny rebuild last Fall. Ended up in a "Cutout" sound competition with the guy next to me (musta been a $100k '68 camaro build. Car was unbelievable). His was a dual super-charged 502cu inch, and mine is a 396ci BB. Drew quite the crowd as we alternated between throttle blasts with open headers. Bunch of momma's holding their kids ears.

What distance do you speak of Steve? I find all the excuses I can find to drive mine and as a matter of fact, drove it to work this afternoon, 40 miles each way. All I can think of right now is the long sweeping ramp to Inter State 65 on my way home in about 90 minutes

Oh wow,... had to slide back 50 or so posts just to see what the heck we were talking about,.... it was Cars & Coffee. My comment was not about miles on our 964T, we do plenty,... it's just that we have TWO good C&C's for both Saturday and Sunday mornings that are convenient to our home (one is up in Balt, and the other Annapolis) that we make quick weekend visits to. Sometimes it's just nice to get out & hit a C&C, and then still have half the rest of the day to do other things.
My comment was only that the Virginia C&C is quite a long distance and the roads (for me) are a lot of Washington Beltway highways which are just boring & full of idiots. Tons of crap flying off trucks & spitting rocks & debris,... and just not my idea of fun roads to drive on my way to a C&C.
I need to get back into the groove of taking more pics of our 964Turbo when we have it out & about. Guess part of my problem is that I've taken SOOO many pictures of that car over the 15 years of ownership,... that now taking pictures of our 997.2 GT3 in Aqua Blue Metallic is just a little more top of mind.
I'll get some this summer though for sure. We have some nice PCA Club drives coming up this year, and I am definitely planning to take the 964T for some of those.
We just did a full weekend drive with our PCA Chesapeake region last weekend,... from south of Baltimore, up through some of our Western Mtn regions, and then up into Pennsylvania (Bedford Springs), stayed the night, and did a bunch of great roads again on Sunday. I think it was close to 600 miles total. But we decided to take the GT3 and get to know that car a little better. Probably a good thing too, cuz we drove through some rain storms that really got that car dirty. I'm happier to get a newer water cooled car filthy, than I am our '91. I currently have that '91 very clean top, bottom, inside & out,.. and it's just easier to wash the top side of the GT3 & be done with it. I am much more meticulous with the 964.
That's so great that you have an awesome commute that you can enjoy your 964T on too. Interstate 65 - maybe Indiana?
