Last week I inspected a 1994 964 Turbo I am interested in buying. Looking into the luggage compartment, I noticed a spot welded plate, right in the front, which I had not seen on other 964 cars. The seller admitted he was not sure either, so he told me he would ask around. Today I received an email from him. He told me this reinforcement plate is only used on the 964 RS, 964 Cup and 964 Turbo 3.6. He also told me he inquired with Thomas Schmitz, who confirmed this to him.

Any idea if this is original or a repair?
