We wish you were there also Anthony.
It was a great time and we had a blast with Steve (bwesteve) and his wife Joan.
Met some other really nice people and made some new friends.

BTW congrats on taking 1st in class. It is a shame what lengths some will go to to win. I have no doubt if everyone was playing fairly Steve would have taken 4th in his class and you would have trounced the deceiver in preservation.

@ MeanMachine "Who cares what the judges think the most important thing that you love it."
I hear ya on that one MeanMachine. I get it. It's all subjective and relative.
>> But I do care to hear from the people that DO KNOW about these cars, to give me feedback on what things I could do to improve the car. Ideas are always welcome. Those ideas are what feed my thirst to tinker in the garage.
I do NOT really care about what "place" I might have taken at any particular show or concours event. The reason I don't really care about 1st/2nd/3rd/etc, is that if you think about it, your final ranking is almost ENTIRELY dependent upon the other cars that "show up". If a bunch of crappy cars show up, and you take a first, it doesn't really mean that much. But if I take a 5th against some really nice cars, then it is a testament to my ability to preserve a car (that deserves it) - and even then it becomes very subjective, and boils down to tenths of a point.
To me the pinnacle of satisfaction and enjoyment, is having a P car to show, & a P car to drive. And if you are the type of person who can do BOTH in the same car, then you are special.
It was a total blast to drive this 964T on the Indianapolis Speedway, and on the driving tours in Indiana, and the Parade drive. The only thing I did not do with the 964 was autocross - because it's so tail happy. It was just as much fun to toss the CTT around the track that day.
It's all good. To each his own. As long as we are happy with our own decisions, who is to judge right?
Ok, Ok,... done waxing poetic. But it surely all fueled my desire to get back out there & DRIVE!!!
As far as attending the PCA Parade, to me the MOST exciting part was meeting some you owners/drivers that own some of these VERY special cars. I VERY MUCH enjoyed seeing some these cars IN PERSON,... and hanging out drinking beers and hearing stories. It made the trip worth while. Mike even let me hold a flashlight while he did some front end work one night!!! Hahaha!!
Hope to see & meet more of you at some car event soon.
