I'm Confused isn't this the car TyTyTy (timmy) built back a number of years ago In Hong Kong. Why is it wearing California plates?
I finally got the track car back with the engine installed. Now time to start work on completing it and finishing the suspension. Resting peacefully next to the turbo which had a nice run after getting new shoes. Major improvement over the old tires which were getting past their prime in age. I love the turbo but this new car (technically a 3.6 Turbo just twin turbo) is just as sick as it gets in a 964. I have no doubt it will make the 3.6T seem like my C2 next to the 3.6T in performance. I have never driven a 911 with such a responsive engine. Press the accelerator at idle and it jumps to 6k in the same time as the turbo reaches 2k rpm. I can't download the video from my phone but if you ever saw the movie LeMans in surround with volume cranked it sounds identical to the opening scene.
My wife is not going to be happy this might just be too much car for her.
PS please excuse the messy garage it has been a busy month.

A more recent shot of the car you have in mind:

These cars are so rare, you can almost identify them (and their owners) by color:
- 2 Midnight Blue
- 2 Vesuvio
- 1 Rubystone Red
- 1 Guards Red
- 1 Horizon Blue
- 1 Riviera
- 1 Black Metallic
- 1 Black
- 1 Gray Black (as in 997RS grey--not the period slate grey which was metallic)
- 1 GP White (may have been repainted)

Interesting I am assuming the other is a paint to sample rarity or a respray? I went back and forth with Timmy on the color he wanted something unique that is why I was surprised to see a similar one.

Different cars altogether. The grey car here in HKG was ex-midnight blue and RHD.
