Default where does this hose connect to?

Recently I reached down the right hand side of
my engine bay to wipe some spilled oil up (right underneath the oil filler)
and accidently pulled this hose including valve out:

the valve-end seems to go into a Y-hose from a device right
behind the A/C Compressor which I think belongs to the air injection,
but I might be wrong. but where does the short hose go to?
since I pulled this small hose my AFRs are totally off spec.
I hope somebody can chime in and I dont need to pull the intercooler + air filter apart.

Thanks

i have a euro car with that system and i know that that part you show would come off a reservoir near the upper shock mount on the pass side of the car...left hand drive....you may see if the lights are adjusting or not....

took some more pics, this is the device with the Y-piece I was referring to, sorry for poor mobilephone quality. the top right is the airfilter:

Y-Piece pulled off device:

the other hose from the Y-piece goes to the front of this valve on the left handside underneath the IC, bottom right is the big IC hose:

there is vacuum during idle at the open end of the Y-thing btw.
Headlights adjustment never worked since I own the car, AFRs went bad after I accidently took the small hose out. Too lean at idle, too fat at cruise and way too fat at WOT. Before the hoseproblem they were spot-on.

on my car the emissions have been removed, those valves are for the emissions, the source for the set up, or rather where you feel the vacumn, install the blue and black one way valve into that vacumn line, then you should be able to find another line that will go into the line off the valve.....give that a try...do you have a black resevoir back by the upper shock mount...that is for the headlight adjusting system...

that sure is a good picture, just what we needed, it is actully the source for the headlight adjustment that works off of vacumn, the black and blue valve is a one way valve that does not allow boost into the vacumn circuit and keeps keeps vacumn in the headlight adjustment system. it should head bak to the resevoir....

Fritz,

I owe you a beer, thanks a LOT for the pic, this certainly explains it!
I saw that very thin black vacuum line (the one which goes into the hose of the small valve) on my car hanging loose and thought to myself wtf is this, it obviously never was connected since I own the car.

Another thing, there is a vacuum line missing on my car, the one circled in red:

Does this line go to this device where my Y-piece was connected previously?:

Thanks again!

no, it has to be connected to the diverter valve (umschaltventil), part of secondary air injection.
as far as i know your car is already "slightly modyfied", so don´t hesitate and throw off the SAI-crap....

Fritz, thanks for enlightening me!
I guess I will have to throw everything out one day incl. the heavy airpump and all the other mess.
It just causes problems.
I already changed the interior to RS seats and door panels, even threw out the door speakers, so why not save some more weight on the heavy rear section of the car.
I am afraid the AC will have to go too when I clean things up back there.

Have a nice weekend!
