Default 94 3.6 Turbo

I wanted to put the word out just in case there is anyone thinking about selling or if they know of a clean no paintwork 94 3.6 Turbo. I'm not in a rush as I want to make sure I find the right car and I wouldn't be using it at all now due to the time of the year in the beautiful Midwest anyway.

I just sold my concours RSA... kind of funny that I originally told my wife that I was going to take a P-Car hiatus due to my extensive travel schedule and such, however, I'm already getting nervous and jerkey looking at that empty third stall in my garage. I've been trying to tell her these cars are like a drug and I seem to be more dependent than I thought!

I've seen the cars that RPM has for sale in Houston...they look great, however, $75K is a bit strong. Has anyone bought from them? It looks like one stop shopping for the low mileage concours car.

Thanks to everyone in advance. - John

I think we're on the same path. I'm a couple year behind you.

I bought my '91 turbo from RPM. You definately pay a premium but the cars he sells are top notch. Ray is a good guy and easy to deal with. If you can get over the fact that you are paying such a premium, it's a good place to get like new cars.

Unfortunately, to find the type of car and condition you are looking for will most likely cost you a premium. The question you should be asking yourself whether "Do I want a drivers car or a showpiece"? Bentley Motors in Long Island has a black one with about 4K miles on it . The interior is different but nonetheless very mint condition.

Good luck..

This car has been on eBay not making reserve for several weeks. It looks immaculate.

Yes I have seen the car from Bentley Motors in Long Island. They had me until I got to the interior! OMG, what were they thinking??!

I am also considering 91 to 92 C2 Turbo's for some of the reasons that Speednme lists above. I definitely drive my cars on those nice weekend days, however, when the cover goes back on at the end of the day it's clean. I have another car that I use for the track which is the real driver.

Thanks...

John,
Congrats on the sale of the RSA. It truly was a beautful car! If only it was White!!!

RPM does have nice cars, but like other said you'll pay a premium for those types of cars. Based on your previous car, I don't think you'll be happy with anything other than a concour car like a car from RPM.

If money is an issue, you sould consider the 91-92 turbo. In the condition you want they will be easily 15-25K less then the 94 3.6.

Thanks for the input Vinny.

I understand you sold your C2 Turbo, that may have been a good candidate for me. Funny how that works.

How do you like the 04? Do you miss having the third pedal?

JRossRSA: I have decided to sell my 3.6T, and am getting ready to post it online for sale (pictures taken etc..) The car is 9.5/10.0, and has all been professionally built/serviced/restored by Stephen Kaspar at ImagineAuto in Kansas City(four trips to KC in 5 years). If you are unfamiliar with Stephen and Imagine, head to his web at www.imagineauto.com, or give him a call at 913.310.9927. The car is slate grey and the paint is truly awesome. Stephen has agreed to answer all questions with respect to this car, and I can ship pictures if your interested. I sold a 94 RSA to buy this car, belive me, its what you want (not necessarily my car, but a 3.6T).

If you can get a really good price on the car because the interior is so ugly, it is very inexpensive and easy to change out the interior bits.

Bogey1,

I sent you a PM. I'm going to assume based on your trips to KC and your "built/serviced/restored" comment that your car is probably heavily modified?

I bought my car from Ray at RPM a couple of years ago. As noted before, great guy and quality stuff. As with all things in life you typicaly get what you pay for. Rays cars are exceptional.
New years resolution....Tial waste gate and hybrid Garret turbo.

I came across this one on my "monthy" browse trough Richards website. Beautiful interior but definately in the high $ category for $75k.

Good luck!

Maverick,

Did you have a PPI done when you bought from Ray or is his reputation and the car so good that you didn't find it necessary?

Hey guys,
Still thinking of selling my '92. It's midnight blue over black with 25000 on it. I bought it about
2 years ago with 15 as a perfect (rpm like) stock car from a dealer in Springfield Ms. Since then I've done the follwing.
1) k27 HF w/1 bar boost spring
2) full stainless GHL exhaust including sport muffler and cat bp
3) pss9 adjustable suspension
4) BOV and aftermarket Waste gate
5) 3 piece RH speedline copies with so3's

I spent 54 when I purchased it and then another 20 on toys and getting it all right.
The car is 125%, and an awesome/unique color combo...
Any takers?

David
