Guys,

NZ LTSA were not as strict on the cars when the 964 Ruf you are describing can into the country. I remember the car - it was extremely clean and the paint was perfect - so that may explain the reason why.

The 993RS I imported had also been in an accident with quite alot of work done. It was imported last year and the LTSA did not pick up the work. The work had been done very well at a huge expense via official Porsche shop and was as good as factory.

Dan, your car from my research has had some paint but not accident so to speak.. The rear deck and rear gaurds have seen paint.

Hope that tidies a few things up.

Ya all take care now.

Default I've got the $$##s

I've got a price list I'll fax to you if you want. I looked at this a year ago and it is a compelling idea, but now w/the Euro its just too much $$. The engine upgrade alone is US$30k...that doesn't count the geabox upgrade of US$6k the US$4k 18" rims, US$5k brakes or US$1.2k front oil cooler. The integrated roll cage which I think is a must is over US$10k. Even the rear spoiler is US$3k. Then its getting the car there and back. A big investment. I love my car, but I think if I was going to invest that much $$ I'd buy something else.

gearbox ........ allready got
18" rims ......... ditto
brakes ............ ditto
extra oil cooler .. ditto
rollcage ............ my cars a convertible !!
rear spoiler ....... allready got

money for turbo conversion ...................... not there yet !!!
i'm looking at doing the engine next year , then the full car will be rebuilt .
so the cost of the ruf over a "normal" rebuild and tuneing is not so bad !!

Great to be able to build an RCT a la carte if you wish to. The market for these has come back around again and the interest in huge.
