Sad that I can not vote. I lost my 3.6T at an unforgiving tirewall at Lime Rock a few years back. What a GREAT car.... You guys that still have them are very lucky...

viperbob: Could you opine on the relative merits of the 964T vs 993TT. Your car looks be-you-tee-ful. I almost went for a 993, but wasn't sure I liked the "feel" quite as much as the 964. The front end feels so light and turn in feels sharper and lighter in my (black/black) 964 than in my friends 993. I could be all wrong, but this was the main reason I went this way. Having owned and driven both, what do you think?

Gordon,
I had a lot of work done on my 3.6T and it was a blast. It felt really fast due to the larger single turbo when the boost came on, and the great RSR suspension and LWF (the regearing of the transaxle also helped quite a bit).
Given the state of tune for both of my cars with mostly track activities in mind the 993TT handles much better, has good driving characteristics with the 4WD system, and the power is very linear and easier to drive on the track without fear of the onset of any unexpected boost through a corner. My 3.6T weighed in at 2875 and my current 993TT tips the scale at 3000 lbs. These cars both has some weight reductions obviously so the difference is not that noticable.
While the 993TT at least for me performs better, I have to say that I thought that the 3.6T was the best looking car Porsche ever made. Yes, the 993TT has better aerodynamics, and wider fenders that can hold a 12" rear wheel, but its appearance is just not the same. It does not have that brute look. It is more curved an subdued... But these are just my humble thoughts on the two...

Al,
What color is your car? Very nice color, and car too. I've not seen many C2 Turbo in this color before. Was it a special order color?
We don't have a lot of traffic on 965 forum. It is never late on here. Glad you could post.
Regards,
Sonny
