964 turbo S LM
Trying to find how many were made, I know there were factory cars at Lemans that then ended up with privateers the following year before everyone went 993, but anyone able to point me in the direction of build numbers or someone knowledgeable on the car please.

According to Paul Frere "Porsche 911 History" page 305 one of the few who documents this car states only the one was made for the 1993 LeMans race. I have found very little info on this or the origin of the raced 964 turbos after years of searching. We still have no info on whether the turbos were taken from stock allocations and modified or were sold as race cars. If they were converted it only makes the number available even smaller.
Let us know if you find any additional info.

Brumos and Labre raced them after the factory effort in 1993. Some photos have the S intakes and some don’t. Makes one wonder if there was more than one car or just one factory car and a bunch of privateers. So were some converted from RSR spec? We need to find the original factory car first and go from there. Sounds like it’s still around somewhere.

There were a number of RSR's and Turbo's raced during that period. A friend purchased the last RSR white tub from the factory and raced it at Daytona and other races. The following year they had to change the bodywork to look like a 993 RSR to run and it is currently a clone of a Bob Akin 935 IIRC. So many of these cars took on different shapes/looks over the years. It might not be recognizable today.
This poster shows it taking First at Suzuka.
I was at Kelly Moss just before they started building the 3.6T's . The LM car is shown taking 9th. Kelly Moss also had a yellow RS at the time I believe they converted to a race car.
I must assume they purchased a 3.6T to build the turbo
It would be nice to know how many stock cars were converted.

I saw something on Rennlist or Pelicanparts that the LM car was discovered in a collection in France

The car is the same car ( with or without S intakes ). There is just one car.

@Raven666 : You're mixing different cars and categories. There is only one Porsche "964 Turbo S Le Mans" works car.
The Porsche "964 Turbo S Le Mans" is a one and unique Porsche Works car developped by Porsche and tested by Walter Röhrl
early 1993 ( March ) on the Le Castellet race track ( South of France track as well known as Circuit Paul Ricard ).
The car was developped by Porsche with two goals for the 1993 season : The Sebring Camel 12h ( Stuck-Röhrl-Haylwood, car finished 7th
overall with Brumos livery ) and the Le Mans 24h race ( Stuck-Röhrl-Haylwood, car stopped lap 79 ). For both races, car was an official works
"Porsche Team" car. End 1993, car was sold to Larbre Compétition and further campaigned.
This very special works car not to be mixed with Porsche 3.6 GT America cars and/or other private Porsche 964 Turbo cars / Teams that maybe
were similar but developped on different body shells and cars ( e.g. The Porsche 964 Turbo driven by Stuck-Röhrl-Haylwood at the Daytona
24h was NOT the "964 Turbo S Le Mans" car but was a Porsche 3.6 GT America car. The "old 964 Turbo S Le Mans" car however still on the grid
for this race with the "Fat International" sponsor ).
The original "964 Turbo S Le Mans" car had many liveries and body mods during its ( rather short racing ) life but we're speaking about a one
and unique car.
