Post Scantool use on 3.6 turbo

Greetings - I was able to connect scantool to the 3.6 last eve (using T-OBD), and got codes from the CCU, and "no trouble" from the ALARM. But, unable to connect to ABS/traction nor Motronic. The software just remained in "Connecting..." status on those two and never connected. Or is it not possible to connect to the "Jetronic" unit on our cars?

Any tips?

Also is there a procedure for this? Should I clear all the codes, drive the car a bit, then check again?

Apparently scantool does not work on 3.6 turbos. Wish I had known...

Does the Hammer work on our ECU/Jetronics?

Ahh I see. So no way to know if any sensors, valves, switches powertrain related are on the fritz without coming into a failure... drag.

Allegedly the Hammer can look at CIS frequency valve operation.
Aside from that, it will tell you about climate control and airbag system faults. I'm surprised it can't look into the ABS.
The last time I looked, Hammers were hard to find and if you could find one, it was pricey.
