Default 3.6T rev limiter?

Hi, long time no post.

I intend sellig my 3.6 turbo as I never drive it.

Anyhow, I drove it for the first time in a year, on Friday, and, although it drives really well, it only reaches 4000 RPM before the rev limiter cuts in, ie: it'll ony rev to 4000 RPM?

Any ideas?

Sounds like you overboost switch is cutting the fuel pumps for one of two reasons: (1) the switch is doing its job and you have a wastegate issue or (2) the switch is bad.
The switch is located on the back of the intercooler. It's the small one next to the big red boost sender unit.
