Hi,

My name is Ahmed and I am a new owner of 964 and new member to this forum. Have read a lot of good stuff in this forum and sure that there will be a lot of advice from other members.

I bought a 964 from Japan and can't wait for it to arrive.

Wanted to start this thread and update it as I go on in modifying and building it into street/track car.

I also started an instagram account @my.964 and planning to start a YouTube channel soon.

Attached few pictures before it's shipped.

It had some leaks which I understood that's it's common thing on these models. Will be glad to hear your thoughts and ideas one what's needed to be done for the leak plus what modifications to start with.

First though is to fix the leak and modify suspension.

Leaks from the engine. I think the car have stopped on this parking for a week or so

Congrats!

Your car is similar to mine but I'd like to have your mirrors, wheels and interior. I'm finding these cars are actually pretty easy to work on, different for sure but not difficult. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Congratulations! As for the leak, I recommend you thoroughly clean the engine and then take it for a spirited drive. Then as soon as you come home, jack up the car and look for shiny/wet spots. The engine cooling fan air currents can blow oil around so starting with a clean engine is critical to isolating the problem.

Good looking car. Looking forward to your Utoob channel.

Is that surface rust on the throttle cable linkage, and also on the blower motor bolt?

The Cup wheels look much better than stock wheels and the mirrors are defiantly better looking than the old square style. Thanks for commenting and cant wait for it to be delivered and starting the journey.

Thanks. It could be rust and the engine might need a rebuild or if the cost will be high will upgrade to 3.8
