Hi everyone, I am a prospective buyer for a certain red 964 c4 cab late 1991, I' m super close to closing the deal I'm just waiting for the full PPI written report, they called me and sent me those concerning pictures, could someone with knowledge on 964s help me decipher these pictures and tell me if its a big problem? I mostly concerned about those folded metal sheets and maybe is that oil sweat or something?

They are both pictures of the same thing from different angles, I believe it's the behind the rear right wheel.
P.S: If someone could check in that same location on their 964 and post a pic on here that would be awesome, please help me she's all I can think about.

looks like the rubber gasket that helps seal the engine tins to the body and not folds of metal. If the company you have doing your PPI have brought this up as a concern I'd be worried about how good their PPI will be! Looks like the engine sweats a little but then most do!

As in the quality of their ppi (like the ppi company sucks) or the ppi's report on the quality of the car (the car sucks)?

It's just a rubber gasket around the engine tin, oil and grime is most likely coming from soft rubber oil feed pipe (oil filter connection).

Aurelian: I would advice that you start new thread

Thanks!
Andrew

Finally my 964 arrived and have done this short video

https://youtu.be/J0ZcBt4qjm4

Update:
The car condition is very good but engine leaks need to be fixed. Had an advice to check the oil used and change it which could be the reason of the leaks. Will check it in the next couple of days and will see how it goes.
