Default What makes your car "different or special?"

I have noticed that most of our 964s seem to fall into one of two categories.....

Cup I wheels with aero mirrors

Other wheels with flag mirrors

Seems like 92% are GR like mine.

So... what makes your car different or special from all the rest? Unusual wheels? Over the top interior? Racing #'s all the time? CF hood? A variety of graphics? A variety of colors like the famous #277?

You are right about the 'standard modifications' like cup 1`s, cup mirrors, G red paint. My car ticks all those boxes, so I'm in the process of colour changing to Rubystone, and will be widening the arches and various other bits and pieces to make the car the way I want (different). I just dropped the motor and started the colour change.
I'll do the rest in the winter as I want to keep using the car until then.

The devil is always in the details. But yea there is clearly a "how to modify a 964 101" that most follow to some degree or another.

Both of mine are Guards Red, Flag mirrors, Cup1's and H&R Greens/Bilsteins HDs. What's unique? Nothing special other than the mileage on my cab.

Saw your engine compartment in another thread. Looks really great. I doubt folks will be able to tell its not factory when you finish.

My car is different because while driving tonight hard around corners I got a strong whiff of fuel. Very strong. A pop of the fuel fill door and voila......my fuel cap must be sitting atop the gas pump at the last place I got fuel........That likely makes mine very rare and different at this moment.
