Typo is 1 instead of 6 in the VIN? In fact it looks like a completely different VIN for a 1980s Turbo.

Yes on the typos.

AC Rebuild:
The Nylog blue has arrived, thank you Nick. I have all new/refurbished lines with new barrier hose everywhere, and new green seals. Miscellaneous notes:
-Measure and sort every o-ring. Takes guessing away. They are all described in the PET.
-The Nylog blue is like...snot. It is a good thing because it clings to the seals, allowing for multiple repositioning (thank God).
-The connections are finicky. By the evaporator and by the fuel filler, if there is any parallax, they won't fit. Especially in the left front fender, I can't see how these can be fitted without taking other parts out. I have no fuel filler tube, no dessicator, no fender liner, no windshield wash tubing, and it was almost impossible to align everything. And one can not just tighten the bolt, since the alloy lines *will* get crushed instead of getting in place. But with patience, careful planning and hand strength, I prevailed.
-Once every connection is started, Don't tighten anything, until everything is connected. This allows the lines to find their most relaxed positions.

AC is finished. Every connection is closed, every line is secured.
I re-visited the oil thermostat positioning. The only rigid lines attached to it are the sill lines, which are long and will flex somewhat. I loosened avery other connection, removed the bracket holding the silentbloc, and lifted the whole setup with the transmission jack. Some rubber lines shifted, which is a good thing. I managed to attach the sientbloc, although slightly deformed. I'll keep an eye on it, but now I am sure I can fit the plastic sills.
I then took a page from Goughary's book, and sprayed cosmoline on the junctions/bolts/brackets, to protect them. Not that the car will see snow or salt, but for peace of mind, it is welcome.
To finish the day; I fitted the new 92 liter fuel tank. Missing some lines, but going forward nicely.

I had a bit of trouble aligning the oil lines on my car at the thermostat I ended up loosening the brackets that holds the rubber lines in the fender that allowed the rubber move and allowed the steel lines to move more

Today's work and notes:
The factory does *not* want you to have a 92 liter fuel tank if not specified when new:
-The filler tube is longer, and you can only buy the Porsche part since it has a tapering diameter
-At the bottom the 2 connections (fuel pump and return are inverted). The fuel pump line is no issue but the return line has to be lengthened. That one I had made locally by a hydraulic shop. The filler tube is on order.
-An internship in gynecology is mandatory to connect the lines under the tank.

I fitted the new front bumper cover:
-How does one fit the rubber smile over the 2 riveted holding plates??
-A new bumper cover will not fit like the one you removed. 5mm here, 5 mm there, and it has been a struggle.
-The rubber bumper smile shrinks when on the shelf for a year. Not much, but enough that I had to warm it and pull on it. Hard.

Santa Cruz, there can be no oil on the floor, as there is no oil in the car.

Fuel tank, continuation:
I received the fuel filler flex tube. It is simpler and longer than the version for the 72 liter fuel tank.
Fitting the fuel filler bucket, rubber gaiter, and release cable is not an easy task with the AC lines, and impossible without removing the fender liner and loosening the AC lines clamp.
For the first time since I own this car the filler lid is aligned with the fender. There are adjustment screws by the hinge and by the latch. They can be reached from under the fender for the hinge and from the top for the latch.
Aftermarker fender blinker is…. shiite. Brittle plastic, wrong dimensions, hard rubber seal. Took a while with a fine file to adjust it to passable dimensions. Hella ftw here.
Missing a 46 mm clamp, and I can tentatively say it is done.
