Default Rothsport Billet Shifter - Interior Finishing Kit

Group Buy Opportunity. I have reached out to a shop that did an install on another members car to see if they could fabricate some kits for the rest of us who are looking for a nice clean installed look.

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...orsche-14.html

If you have a billet shifter ready to install, have an existing already installed, or plan to do one in the future, this is the best install I have seen.

These will come in a kit with adapter plate, mounting hardware, and outer boot. Pricing will be right around $100 each plus shipping. I'll likely have everything shipped directly to me and then ship the individual kits out to those who bought in. Looking to get 10 kits sold for the production run. Payment up front via paypal so i'm not stuck with 10 of these Please pm me if interested.

This is for the interior finishing kit only. Does not include the shifter or shifter installation parts.

This is what the kit looks like installed:

Anyone know if a 964 and 993 share the same console opening size? Would be great if this worked for a 993 also.

I have a 993 console, so yes it does fit.

I might be interested. I currently have the stock boot on mine but this is a cool alternative

Im using a function first ****/lever. Would it work for that setup also? If so I'd be in.

Could be a nice option for the function first **** too. Any way to get the boot tighter to the shift? I'd be interested in one for my 993.

Is the adapter plate leather or plastic?

The adapter plate I believe to be metal. I should have asked. Maybe Rey can comment.

Metal would be great. Looks like you mod the end of the boot to whatever shift lever you have. Anyone know any good tricks for a snug fit?

It is made to fit snugly over the stock lever. So it is small. I actually tore mine trying to make it fit over a small shift tube. Be careful !

Thanks for the tip Streetdaddy. I wonder if warming up the boot in the oven would give it just enough extra flexibility (without weakening it) to keep it from tearing during install.

Porschenut:
It looks like you have a side bolster "protector" to prevent wear getting on and out? (first picture, original post)
Did you make that or buy it? Great idea.

Unfortunately the magnificent car in the photos is not mine. It is another forum members who gave me permission to use his photos. See very first link in my first post to go to his build thread.

So far I have the following response:

Myself - 2 kits
Jjm4life - 1 kit (maybe)
Streetdaddy - 1 kit
ekoges - 1 kit
sooner964 - 1 kit
eddieb4 - 1 kit
ToniWonKanobi - 1 kit
Achtung964 - 1 kit (maybe)
emissary - 2 kits
Serval - 1 kit
S4vant - 1 kit
GilesHanna - 1 kit (maybe)

With 6 I can get a production run made. Was hoping for 10 to make it worth Sleeper's time and effort. I'll let this hang a bit longer to see if anyone else wants to jump in.

Thanks guys. I think this is a nice solution at a very fair price for a custom job.
