Thank you Rennlist for my 964
7 Attachment(s)
I want to thank Rennlist members and vendors for helping me create my ’91 964 C4. First is mrmandmman. This past October he graciously offered his 964 for sale. After a PPI and a seamless financial exchange the C4 was quickly shipped my way. Very little was needed after all of the sorting done by mrmandmman. Here the link for the original link to the car when it was for sale on pelican parts: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...90-964-c4.html
Since she arrived I have made the following cosmetic changes and included the members or vendors used: 1. New rear taillight set (eBay). 2. RSR One Piece Spoiler (Rennspd.com) 3. Soundstream ST4.1000DB Bluetooth amp wired directly to Pioneer speakers. No head unit, just iPhone to amp. Ignition triggers the amp power and I added a switch on the dash to manually turn it off. Stole this idea from several forums. 4. Function First Performance classic shift knob 5. Robert Budd – Classic9leathershop – Great work on the black leather with Cashmere deviated stitching on the upper dash, door panels, lower dash, center console, shift boot, hand brake, steering wheel. I definitely recommend his work. 6. Bob @ appbiz – RS door panels – good product 7. Rennline – black aluminum door locks 8. C Walrod – aluminum gauge bezels 9. Rhonda @FVD Brombacher – Front bumper air inlet and clear turn signal lights 10. Jaudette3 – JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2 headlights with chrome bezels 11. Intrepidagent – custom hood crest 12. 5150 Motorsport – Aero style mirror kit 13. Chrome door handles 14. Refinished BBS wheels with new hardware from blackforestindustries.com 15. Magnus inspired rear deck lid grill (custom made) - bring on the haters. 16. Custom retro dash pieces. I once customized an FJ40 and used some Chiliwich fabric for the seat insert (Icon 4x4 style). I fell in love with the product and had to use it again. This application is pretty unique. 17. New alternator (bent shaft), windshield/sunroof seals, adjust valve covers, oil and break fluids changed |
Car looks like crap. You should be embarrassed and ashamed. At least put a coat of wax on it.
Look, I don't do this for everyone but, since you are a Rennlist member, I'll allow you to park that old junker in my garage. Just leave the keys. I'll drive it around a bit and tell everyone it is mine. You can thank me later. :-) |

That's probably in your best interest.
On a serious note, I hope you don't mind if I copy a few of your ideas on mine. |
Awesome upgrades, thanks for sharing 👍

Welcome! Very nice touches. (make it your own!)
I might have to post a couple pics of your mods here: Longhood Friday and other retro ideas Custom retro dash pieces. Can you show more detail? Link to the materials. It is just applied over the passenger airbag? Did you use an aluminum dash kit and modify the cut outs to fit a 964? https://www.aasesales.com/collection...124-78c-112862 Very clean. https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...7.42.51-pm.png |
Beautiful! How do you like the quality of the splitter? Mind sharing how it is attached to the body/bumper?

The dash parts: Alloy Dash Trim Insert for Cars with HVAC and Radio (1971 Porsche 911 S Coupe/Targa) Part #: TMP-9334AR from Pelican parts. Modified to fit the 964. Easily done. The passenger airbag is still functional. Thanks for comments.

Thanks for the part number! TMP-9334AR Did you remove any dash panels to install the cover, or is this all applied over the top of the current panel? (ie: need to replace the 964 panel with this older 911 panel OR the 964 doesn't have the same panel and this fits on top?) I know the ignition bezel is easy to unscrew and probably most of the buttons just pull out. Plus the CCU must be pulled? (https://www.bergvillfx.com/ccurepair) The material: Chiliwich fabric or German Square Weave Dash Vinyl? https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifi...php?id=1916151 Thanks for posting on the retro thread! |

Ok this is moving up the project list. Hang in there with me for a few more basic questions.
