340 hp C2, anyone heard of these guys
The guy at my shop just drove one of their cars. It was a 3.2, but he said is was incredible and faster than any other normally aspirated 3.2 or 3.6 he had driven. He said torque was outstanding. It is expensive though.

Anyone heard of these guys. 340 hp without a turbo or supercharger would be very nice.

Yep, the Lenz mods came up in a thread about a year ago (try seach on this board) - IIRC no-one had tried them, they were expensive but the idea seemed sound.
ADDED LATER - Hmm, I tried the search and no result apart from this thread

I've heard of these guys. Apparently the fellow who does this used to work on the bosch management systems. I believe he now either bought or owns the rights, and is now doing his own thing.
It's essentially a new type of fuel management mapping system, with altered air flow meter, injectors and full exhaust setups.
There stuff is quite expensive, yet legit.

My shop just gave me the website and told me to tell them if I was interested and they would call and get the quote. I asked if expensive and he said yes without hesitation.
I might be interested if I was not looking to buy another car right now. I will tell him to get me a quote though.

If it's new ECU etc. I assume it's basically a motec equivalent? When I looked into this, people were claiming up to 340bhp - and the general opinion seemed to be that a genuine 320 was realistic.

$ 5,000 really does not sound that bad. I will get a quote and let you guys know. I got busy and did not call back to tell him to me a quote today. I will tomorrow.

Depends on what it comes with i guess. The picture shows the EMS, CAMS, Headers & Cats.
The EMS system looks like it is less powerful than a MoTeC system but has most of the bells and whistles as far as dual lamda, injector control, and ignition control, etc. It is laptop programable which is good, but then so is MoTeC.
The general motec setup ignores the airflow meter and instead bases it's fuel tables on RPM with lamda control to maintain the A/F ratio.
Never heard of this Company though and the parts look rather unfinished, but they could be good, i don't know however.
Take it for what it's worth

Well, at least they seem to be admitting that for this sort of HP boost (ie 90 HP over stock!!) you need new management system, high flow cats, exhasut bypasses, customm headers and hot cams.
May be worth talking to their engineers (if they have any!) for more detail. Can't believe this could be less than $12k to $15k US.
Reading the 9 page PDF on the kit, its clearly German and it has TUV approval. Looks interesting!

310/340 bhp would be spectacular. Are the other tuners (i.e. Ruf, FVD, etc) claiming similar achievements ?
Also, I presume this wouldn't be an option in lousy 91-octane CA...
Karl.

RUF are turbo merchants. Look up the RUF RCT Evo - endows the 964 with 420hp! No normally aspirated conversions that I know of.
FVD - I would check out their website - www.fvd.de
