Thinking of selling my 964, what's a reasonable price.
I have owned my 964 for 10 years, and find that it is being used less and less, especially over the last couple of years, only put on around 1000 miles a year.
It's a December built 1991 C2
coupe in Polar Silver with manual transmission, factory sports seats and limited slip dif. This car came from the factory with the upgraded head/cylinder seal. The milage is just under 73K miles (116000 km), and it run like a top. Everything works, but I have removed the AC compressor, which would be easy to reinstall. The engine had a top end rebuild just after I bought it at 55000 miles, new valves and guides, no need for rings or p/c, and I had the dual mas flywheel/clutch replaced with RS lightweight flywheel/clutch. The suspension was replaces at much the same time with Bilstein HD and H&R Green springs and I added H&R roll bars a couple of years ago.
I have a list of upgrades done to the car too long to post at this time, but will get one together if there is an interested buyer. Please look at my signature to see some of the upgrades.
All maintenance, other than top end rebuild, has been performed by me and a good friend, who is a retired Porsche air cooled specialist. I have performed annual oil/filter changes with Brad Penn 20w-50, but a couple of years ago I changed to Joe Gibbs DT50 15w-50.
The exterior of the car is in very good condition, it has been repainted at one point, but to what degree, I do not know, as there was absolutely no records with the car when I bought it. There are a few scratches on the rear bumper, and a very tiny rust spot at the lower right part of the windshield, which hasn't increased in 10 years. And of cause the usual few rock chips to the front.
The interior is a 9/10 with no tears and the seats are in perfect shape. I installed a Blaupunkt BT Toronto head unit with Alpine amp and Infinity front and rear speakers.
I know I am supposed to set a price, but don't really know where the market is at, so I will start with 55000 US$, please let me know if I am way off target.
Please let me know if you are interested, and I can post more pictures and more details on upgrades.
Thanks for looking

I am putting out a feeler, so the price is in $US, probably too high, but I am of cause open to reasonable offers, and would prefer selling locally. My problem is, I don't know for sure what this car is worth.

C2 or 4?
More pictures. In, out, of flaws, of engine bay, under. Let's go!
Also, is this a Canadian car originally? or was US then Canada?

Ok I will get on it, but the next two days are very busy for me. The car is a Canadian car, no different than US other than speedo is in KM's. I am not trying to be an As...., but I have been getting a lot of messages saying that $50000 is too low, more like $55000, so that will be the asking price.
Please be patient, I will get more information up in the next couple of days.

The best way to gauge the market is to shop for a car. Go to all the places where these are marketed and see what others are asking. Then set your price in accordance with your cars stats. Also important is the price that will make you happy, not the top dollar. I hate when people are stuck at unreasonable, unsellable prices. There are plenty of cars for sale that won't sell at the asking price and stay on the market for months. Then there are cars that sell in minutes because they are fairly priced. If you want to sell it, set the price at market value and you will sell that car in one day. If you want top dollar set whatever you want and wait months for the right buyer. You should have no problem getting a good price, top dollar market value, as long as it's reasonable. Some sellers set an unreasonable "make me sell it" price. Only fools pay a "make me sell it" price.

Burning Brakes
Now in your Avatar, if we take a vertical line straight up from back of rear wheel to the 75% height mark, the layers in the rock go from light to dark... Could someone tell me the year and what mad event happened on Mother Earth that caused such a thing? Great Avatar, GLWS....

Lower mile C2 manual coupe with a fresh top end, tasteful mods, and a couple rare and desirable options? I'd list it a bit higher at $59k USD and see if you get any interest if you're not in a rush to sell it. The x factor would be the quality of the repaint, and why it needed one at such low milage in the first place.
