I ended up buying a nice set of Te37's. Curious to see how they look on my car but they should fit better than the Fuchs I'm using now.
The Fuchs are for sale-> €2100 ex shipping

Do you know what camber your friend is running ? I have just re-dished my rears and got my sums wrong and now the wheel protrudes around 1/4 inch. I'm running -2.5 at the moment. I have re-ordered slightly smaller outer hoops but I'm tempted to roll the arches and maybe add camber or raise ride height to accommodate.

SSR GT3 18 x 8.5 = 1518 lbs.
TRM F2 18 x 8.5 = 1620 lbs.
Volk TE37 = 1521 lbs.
Thats must be in Ounces and not lbs. I think the Volk TE37 weight is wrong since they are almost as light as OZ Allegerita's...and certainly much lighter then BBS LM's

Yes they seem off. I thought only written down incorrectly i.e. 1521lbs should be 15.21lbs of course but perhaps they are of wheels with different sizes after all.

Here's the TE37 weight (for 993 officially)

18 x 8.5 +50 17.30lbs
18 x 10.5 +40 19.73lbs

I couldn't find a similar size OZ Allegerita, not sure they make them for Porsche. But they do have a 10.
If you compare those they are very similar.

18 x 10 for TE37 is 18.96lbs and OZ Allegerita comes in at 19.35lbs. Only thing I'm not sure about is the offset in this case because the TE37 is available in 3 offsets at that size.
Quick searc for BBS LM Forged/Spun 18x10 gave me 25.8lbs

So you're right.

Even on a WB I wouldn't go more than -2.5.

That is definitely going to rub. I just redid mine pushed the front out to the Turbo settings using 993 longitudinals. This pushed everything out an additional 30mm.

In the rear i'm running -2.3 for now. We set it at -2.5 before and when we measured again it was reading -2.7. The downside of running old Supercup H&R's, seems they settled. I was clearly running on the edges too much and picking up lots of rubber on the rest of the tire. I wouldn't go any further.

These are Chris's old wheels I had them reworked to fit my car with spacers they are essentially sit the same as the factory 3.8RS speedlines I have. Both are 11's.

I am running 295/30/18 rears I hope to rework these or buy some BBS's in black widening them to 12".

Not sure if the pics help to see how it compares. I might need to shave a mm or two off the spacer but I will know better after a weekend on track. I am only running 685# rear springs.

Hi Anthony,

Your fronts sit a lot further out than mine - I run -3.3/3.4 front camber which probably makes it look worse but also an 8.5J rim - I may rebuild these to a 9J over the winter. Are you running the 993RS uprights with the 993 longitudinals ?

My rears where rebuilt using a 5.25" outer hoop in the mistaken belief that the old outer was 4.75" - it turns out it's closer to 4.25". No doubt it's going to rub but I don't really intend to drive the car much, if at all, until the replacement 4.75" outers arrive.

Cheers.

IIRC the factory speedlines are 4.75 outer and 6.25 inner + the lip which adds another .5" per side. I was considering going with a 4.75 outer and 7.25 inner.

Hi - I bought them used in Italy so I am not sure where you could find them.
You could try to get in touch with Marvic as they used to make all the magnesium wheels of OZ.

Maybe for a turbo/WB - 8.5 and 10.5 is pushing it on an NB, iMO.

you’d have to stretch the tire a little in the rear but they’d fit.

I know this is an old thread that got resurrected.
but likely the lightest 17inch wheel for Porsche 964 is the Desmond Regamaster Evo.
weighs in at 16.3 lbs for the 17x8 front and 17.2 lbs for the 17x9.5 rear.
Quality wheel made in Japan.

I was just about to reply to say they aren’t available because that’s what they’ve been telling me. Who did you get them from?
