Default Nitto nt555 gr??

Has anyone purchased a set of these yet? The only reviews I can find are from American muscle cars that review them based off acceleration grip alone. I haven't found one review that goes into depth about handling, ride quality, noise, etc.(Canyons or backroads). The sidewalls seem much stiffer on the nitto's, and i'm worried on a street car with bushing and suspension set to stiff that it will be too much. Great for track though.

I'm looking at 225/45/17 up front and 275/40/17 in the rear(964 wide body)

The runner up is Sumitomo htr z iii (cheap and grippy, but 300AA compound wears quickly)

Continental DW(340AA compound) offers a 255 in the rear, but jumps up to 285/40/17 and thats just too much sidewall for me. I have those on the rear right now(255/40/17) and they are only lasting me 5-6 months to the very threads and they squeal when they are about to go.

Cost wise:
1. Continental DW 225/45/17 & 285/40/17 363.00+tax/shipping
2. Sumitomo HTR Z iii 225/45/17 & 275/40/17 380.28+tax/shipping
3. Nitto nt555 g2 225/45/17 & 275/40/17 546.43+tax/shipping

Tread rating:
1. Continental DW (340AA)
2. Nitto nt555 gw (320AA)
3. Sumitomo htr z iii (300AA)

So is it worth almost $200 more? I'm considering it, but I know my fronts will last 2 years(lasted 2 years on htr z 3), and I don't want to chuck them(nitto fronts) if the set is crap.

I love that your rears are lasting you six months...

Keep up the good work! Sounds like you are driving the car like it's meant to be driven...
