Default Quick question about some cup 1 reps

I'm looking at a set of Borbet cup 1 replicas. 17x7, and 17x9. It's wearing tires 225/45 in front and 255/40 in rear. They were used on an 89 911 not a 964. Will these fit my 1992 964?

nope, they will stick out too far so cant even be solved with spacers. Here are some pre 964 wheels fitted to a 964 to give you an idea:

OK. The seller is working on getting the offsets for me. If they are ET 52/47 isn't that what I'm looking for?

The 80's Carrera's and the 964's use wheels with different offsets. You cannot interchange them.

OK gotcha. I saw 89 up and I assumed they'd fit but his 89 was a G series not a 964. My mistake. Thanks fellas!

Chris - I see you are in NH. If you are ever in southern NH, let me know. Maybe we can meet up some time.

52/47 offsets are for 964. They will fit perfectly fine. But, the Borbet replicas are very heavy. The Mille Miglia replicas are much lighter and only 1-2lbs from the factory weights. Sorry to say, you'll notice the Borbet weight even in day-to-day driving.

Are the Borbet marked Borbet?

Yes, it is

It doesnt matter what they come off, as long as the offset is correct for the 964

MM Fronts are 2kg each heavier than factory, and the rears 1KG each, not an insubstantial amount, especially when factory cup 1s arent exactly particualrly lightweight to start with

If those are the actual offsets then it could be they were actually fitted to the 89 car using spacers in which case they may still fit a 964.

You weighed them yourself? I weigh the MM at 24.6/27.0lbs for 7.5/9. Factory is supposedly 23.4/26.0. Borbet 9" are 29lbs. I haven't weighed the Borbet fronts, but I weighed some Borbet twist replicas in 7.5/9 at a whopping 28.2/30.2.

Can you tell us where you get your numbers? Agreed though, none if the cup1 options are in anyway light.

I haven't heard back from the seller yet regarding the offsets. I have a set of mille miglia reps that I should just refinish I guess. I don't think the extra weight would bother me much, although I do have 16 inch cup wheels on now that are pretty light so maybe I will see a difference.

I'm trying to make myself fall in love with my current wheels but it's just not happening. Cup 1 style are needed.
