As a point of reference I recently had my glass replaced and the shop used Sekurit which ironically is what was already installed. The first glass was rejected due to waviness but the second one was perfect and no installation issues. I think the one that that really matters is the use of a new OE windshield gasket.

I can post up some pics of the install or do a search as I posted some earlier this year.

When I had mine done November ‘16, they used a Pilkington and an OE seal. Last I recall is that Sigla is a sub-brand of Pilkington at this point.

All true and only matters if you are worried about originality. There was a while you could get Pilkington glass with the OE mark. I haven't seen them in a long time and usually more money.

I put a Pilkington in my C2 was a huge savings over the factory glass but the coloring was slightly off compared to my other factory windshields.

I haven't seen Sekurit windshields unless they were for the earlier 3.2's. Does it wear the OE mark?

I can’t recall if my original windshield had an OE badge, I don’t recall seeing it but I didn’t look for it either. The new Sekurit does not wear the OE Badge, I can try to capture the markings if anyone is interested. I wasn’t as concerned with originality as I was with having the proper fitment and appearance and from what I can tell the difference is indiscernible from the original glass other than the markings. I do think it was the original glass that was in my car, below are pics showing what the frame looks like when the glass is removed.

Was just about to post a similar thread. Got a 2nd chip in my windshield, and it’s pretty heavily pitted. Hoping Allstate lets me go with my own installer. The guy they sent from safelite that did the windshield on my Tacoma a few months ago was pretty damn bad.
