Thanks. I've just ordered a new reservoir. A pity to see the transparent one replaced but the noise is annoying me more.

If the filter is a plastic screen I would be curious to know if it can be successfully back flushed. Has anyone disected an old one to see what it looks like inside?

People have said it is serviceable, but the screen filter won't come out of the neck of the reservoir.

Discussed here: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...r-sources.html

The only time mine has made the groaning noise has been when there was an air leak in the system.

I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or not, but there were supposedly two in stock when I placed my order and now it’s on back order. I hope the wait period is short. I don’t want to end up in the fuel pressure regulator situation where the after market options disappear and prices go $$$

I think I bought mine from Amazon. It's a relatively standard ZF part.

Good to know as a back up. I read that the pipes are canted which could be specific to the 964 and 993.

BTW: Not sure how the Fuel Pressure Regulator situation has worked out but there is a new Bosch one for sale in New Zealand at the equivalent of USD 145 and the seller is open to offers. No affiliation.
