Oil cooler fan, relay and connections.
Hello,
I had an issue with my oil cooler fan as written in the thread “ The silly little question”.
Installing a cabin switch in order to manually activate the oil cooler fan at high speed I did a mistake, I diverted the polarity and toasted 2 wires.
In the relay R04 there is a violet wire pin 86(8) connected to relay R11, do you know which is the purpose of this connection?
In the relay R04 there is another violet wire connected to CCU, do you know which is the purpose of this connection?
Thank you

Three Wheelin'
The violet wire on 86(8) of the relay is the power supply to drive the relay. The power comes from the 'X' (accessory) supply line of the CCU. The X supply is live with the ignition key in the accessory (position 1) & ignition (position 2). The X supply is temporally cut whilst the key is in position 3 (cranking). This is a typical arrangement to interrupt high current circuits to ensure max current is available for starting.
