I wonder what that car really changed hands for. Its been for sale on PCH for at least 6 mos. Maybe closer to 9. I drive by the car all the time. They always have nice cars and ask the top of the market for them. This is a well done car, but maybe I'm missing something as this seems to be priced pretty far above a "premium" for a well sorted car...

$105k price reduction from 11 months ago. That's like a $227.77/mile depreciation hit. Sucks that a car like that didn't even see 500 miles of use in a year...

lol, I just noticed something. They want deep six-figures for a car that they won't spend a few hundred $s on to have the right rear bumper original exhaust location cutout filled in.

I've actually seen this car in person multiple times. It was built by 911 Designs in Montclair, CA down the street from where I live. Looks much better in person than in pics. The asking price is ridiculous but if you factor in the time it took plus the cost to build, and this shop's ridiculously high labor cost, the price probably isn't far off what it cost to build lol

So unless your last name is ruf pricing a shop built hot rod at the same price as a factory "hot rod" is generally a losing proposition. Singer is probably the only notable exception. You can't build a car like that and except to get a 100 % return on your investment no matter how cool it may be.

I've seen this car in person a few times. It's well done. Whether it's fully sorted or not, who knows. Hot rods seldom are once you go crazy on the motor, there is always 'something'. This is why my motor isn't touched. The only thing that is off to me live is the color. The owner said it was guards red. But it has a pearl type effect to it that just looks a little off to me on a porsche. Sort of a candy look. This is a really nice car, and not sure I'd really change much on it if it were mine.

I'm sure he has close to asking in the car knowing the $ 911 design charges. They are a good shop.

But at that price it's going to sit for a long time.

Here's rough math: car 35, engine 50, trans 15, chassis 25, paint/body 20, interior 15, misc 25 and 18 months of your time.
