1990 964 C2 Coupe 5 Speed
For those of you who read my post regarding DD my car, I have opted to sell my beloved 964:
Finished in Diamond Blue Metallic with blue leather interior, this well cared for 1990 Porsche 964 C2 5 speed with LSD, has been set up for a perfect combination of street/track drivability, in my humble opinion.
During my ownership, I have gone through the car meticulously, starting with a completely overhauled suspension and set the car to RS ride height. It has a set of factory CUP coilovers coupled with RS sway bars and includes camber plates and strut bar. I have added safety equipment such as Recaro SPG fixed back seats, a 5 point harness and a bolt-in roll bar. The car has been lightened (rear seat backs and door bottoms) and made to sound and perform better with a CUP Pipe exhaust and a SW chip. The motor and transmission mounts have been upgraded to rennline semi-solid ones and the rear 2-pot calipers have been upgraded to the 4-pot ones with pagid orange race pads all around.
The car is used for DE events around the southeast as well as weekend cruising around town or in the NC Mountains as often as my schedule allows. I drive it to/from events as the journey is all part of the experience, as far as I am concerned. It is by no means a garage queen but with that said, I never drive it at 10/10th at the track as I know it is my ride home. The exterior is in decent shape and looks great from 10 feet. Some of the clearcoat is pealing from the rear corner panel on the passenger side. In addition, the AC isn’t working but the heat works great.
I purchased the car from Vertex Auto in Florida 4 years ago where they completed a top end rebuild prior to selling the car to me. The car currently has 154,000 miles on it and I have driven the car less than 4,000 miles during my ownership. It is tight, fast and doesn’t drip an ounce of oil. I have all the original parts except the seats. Instead, I have a set of factory manual sport seats with sliders in blue leather, but would need to be refinished. The original wheels come with the car as well as the spare tire, partial tool kit and owner’s manual.
Price: $38,500 USD
