Default B6 suspension installation question re spring collar

I'm swapping out the original Boge struts for Bilstein B6.

I noticed that the Boge bottom Spring collar is larger than the one on the B6. To my eye the Bilstein one is too narrow for the Boge Spring keeper. It doesn't sit squarely and securely. Have I missed something here? Should I buy a different Spring keeper or a larger collar?

BTW the Boge and Bilstein bodies are different sizes so I can't recycle the Boge collar

Hi John,

Just looked at some old pics of my Front B6 install and can't tell from your pic, but there should be larger black ring matching to seat and a smaller lock ring below it ....

Matthew.

You are absolutely right! The shocks are not supplied as per B6 shocks on line. I only received the locking ring. I will go back to the supplier.
