89 911 (3.2) windshield in 89 964 (3.6) ?
 

Hi all,

I am about to purchase OEM windshield for my 89 964 and found some threads pointing to use late 3.2 glass in early 964. It would save me a lot of money If I could do that.

3.2 windshield is 1,100.00 CAD
964 windshield is 1,600.00 CAD

I already have the 964 seal. So preferably If I could combine 3.2 glass with 964 seal in my 89 964 that would be spectacular!

Any help much appreciated!

BTW: This glass better be crystal and gold for that price!

Ok, I might have just answered my own question. It looks like if you want to use the 3.2 glass you have to do it with the 3.2 seal on the 964. If you want the 964 seal without the trim piece, you have to buy the 964 glass.

Well, that sucks! I want to use the 964 trim = more expensive glass. I guess I will just dig deeper in to my kids college fund.

I believe the 964 glass also has the radio antenna built into it where as the 3.2 will not.
