Default Can a 964 w/ remote starter switch (Hasn't run in 15 years)

Long story short picked up a 964 that hasn't run in 15 years. I know it's a long road ahead, looking to get an idea if I can use one of these since nothing happens with the key (new battery).

Basically looking to see if the engine has compression. Plugs pulled out of it, I am able to rotate the engine

THANKS!!!!

Go through all your grounds and clean them all up and put on some dielectric great on them.

Not sure how dielectric grease on the connections is helpful?

Check fuses, and DME relay, although none of that should prevent the starter from cranking. You can jump the starter by touching across both terminals with a screwdriver - just be careful not to shock yourself!

Does the starter crank? If not, check to see if you are getting 12v to the solenoid.

You certainly can jump the starter but it still will not run without
alarm module disabled and ignition 'on' position.

Excellent information everyone. I'm being lazy and hate jacking the car up so I am ordering a bendpak scissor lift
