I put in a set of brand new reupholstered 996 sports seats with hard back in my 964 yesterday.

They look great... but they are too tall! I am barely clearing the roof and the ride height is just too high.

I read that the 996 rails are basically 1.5" higher than earlier seats.

Does this mean I can fabricate some custom rails to lower things down 1.5"?

Has anyone done that?

I guess the other option is install Brey Krause mounts but I just wonder what will be the lowest way to go in seat height
