Default Headlight adjustment plastic socket

When changing bulbs I noticed that my headlight bowl was not complete fixed. OK the long screw used for adjusting the light horizontally the plastic socket is not longer connecting with the "ball" on the bowl trim.
I searched for a replacement component but can't find it, alternative I will have to glue it shut of use clamps to keep it in place.

Help wanted

The cups on my headlights are also quite worn, but they are luckily still working sufficiently. I searched for a solution a while ago and could not find anything. However I do think that this is a part that can be 3D printed.

Mines not actually broken, just not hanging on anymore. It looks like its missing a "ring" where the groove is.

Does your car have H4 or H5 headlights?

Perhaps you can get the part from one of the used parts suppliers such as DC Auto.

Couldn't you just use a nylon nut and a washer? I'd have to look at mine to see.

Will try with a plastic strip to keep it in place.'

It´s a H4.

I don't see one listed on PET. If you can't find a replacement, I would try using safety wire wrapped around the notched ring on it to keep tension on the ball.

I noticed that too, seem to only list the newer version.

Tighten the cup by using wire in the groove - works a treat!

I had the same problem recently. I just replaced the plastic piece with a metal nut , and a different screw of the same length. There should also be a spring to help secure the fixture.
