There is no fascination other than what people people see in it other than as a 964 with good colors and leather. As to what I am working on, there are several things including an updated 2-valve engine (current one is 430 HP), a 4-valve air cooled engine, possible new materials for exhaust systems and, of course, additional lightweight parts of composites and various specialty metals. Also, I am looking at the viability of lightweight kits for the new R and for GT3 and GT3 RS.

Maz from SVD (goes by P1CR on Rennlist) posted some high-level details about the specifics on this post.

and here are some links regarding Singer's engine development partners. It gives you a good idea of the amount of people involved in the development of the powerplant.

One of the things I really wonder about is how Singer has simplified/made more reliable/upgraded the climate control unit (CCU), all the huge failure-prone mixing servos, and the whole evaporator/behind the fuel tank HVAC unit.

I'd love to see how they "everything matters"'d all that 80s electronics junk. I'd probably find that more impressive than all the other go-fast and bespoke-trimout been-done-before noise.

I think what all those words mean is that Singer uses the DR 25 harness system with, I suspect, Deutsch or some other Motorsport type connector.

The singer armrest was their own creation. It is not an OEM Porsche part.

You could probably make something similar with an Air-cooled Beetle armrest.

It is unfair to equate a Beetle with a Singer.

This seems odd.... You know Maz and Rob well enough, why not just call one of them and ask instead of starting this post?

Hi Robert,

Gaz is correct, it's worth taking a look at the link our pal Keith has done a great job.
