Default North Carolina 964s - Tail of Dragon

Where are the NC rennlisters going to be this Saturday, 4/16? I'm going to be swinging by with a group of friends who are there for the VW R32 weekend. Perhaps if any of you are free we can meet at the summit or something along those lines and sing the song of our people.

Let me know as the weekend gets closer. I was thinking Saturday, but Friday is also doable depending on work schedules.

The weekend is called Wookies in the Woods. Primarily a R32 themed weekend.

Perhaps something will clear your schedule, weather looks good.

Heh, interesting timing! I'll be heading there with a few friends as well. First stop is the Hershey Swap Meet on Saturday, then down through the Smoky Mountains to PEC in Atlanta by mid-week where we've booked some events. And back up through the ToD. I think we have booked the Fontana Village Resort for Wednesday night. Planning to be back in NY next Friday or Saturday.

How long is the R32 event going to be there? I had a bunch of friends from my MkIV R32 days who used to go down there religiously every year...

Wish I could make it. Hit the TOtD a few years back in my lotus. What a road. Bunch of other great ones in the area too. We left a bunch of m6 parts there as a friend totaled his. Drove off the side of the cliff.

I am actually off Friday and Saturday so let me know, it's a few hours from Atlanta. Friday will probably be a whole lot less crowded though!

One of my good friends was part of the NorEastR group that started the whole thing years ago back in NY. Taking the 993 on the trip?

Ahh, unfortunately we won't run into each other. I'm heading back on Sunday.

I've never been so I will be just following what my friends are up to. But if your up to come it would be great to have you either way, whichever if better for you. I don't want to drag you out too far.

You want to get there early in the morning if you want to avoid the crowd. Some guys like the stroll which makes it really slow and annoying. Some people get all pissy when you go passed them too.
Just be careful and safe.
Please take some pics and post it.

Curious as to where the meeting point is, what is the typical "start" time and how long do these drives last.
