Have you looked at the recent asking prices for the RS? Reason and logic has nothing to do with this stuff anymore! It is all about having a VIN with the right code in the right place.

I think prices will continue to be very strong on the real 964 RS, particularly with the strong $ and now the 1991's can be imported and street registered fairly easily since they are 25 years old.

I was really close to buying and importing one as a track car in 2003, until divorce got in the way. $50k was all the money back then

Oh a real RS is definitely desirable. A few floating around SoCal... you can't register them easily here as even if you can get in federal, CA will require passing and having the emissions certifications of the cars offered at that time, so you see most of them registered out of state.

By the time you make it registerable it will be an RSA...
Looked into it a while back its just as hard as a cup to get on the street. And with EPAs new rules who knows you may have to crush the car....

In a few more years the newest 964 will be 25 years old, would that solve the problem?

Won't be a problem for most states to import/register after 25 years. Forget about California though.

Although we used to have a considerable number around here 10 years back you don't see them in public much. There is one that is still tracked but he has a second for street driving.

Love these threads. Esp all the negative comments. Almost makes me want to visit the 991 GT3 forum where everybody blows sunshine up each others ***. Haha

No, the 991 GT3 board is perfect if you like to discuss deviated color schemes, nano coatings, and "how come porsche won't let me buy an RS" threads.
Hey, that's not all. Don't forget "paint correction" and nano coating whatever the F@ck that is.. We also talk about the general track use consensus for setup, what the best tires and brake pads are.. Oh wait crap no that was the 997GT3 forum before they were all bubble wrapped and now the 997GT3 forum is down to track stuff for sale threads and value threads..

Here I can't even get a response to what I should be asking for my RSA. I think because it need some stance help. I may put it for sale because my 991 GT3 has a rainbow coming from it tail pipes and it gets washed with unicorn tears.

Lol... well there are a few 997GT getting tracked and I have no plans to stop.

Real fact though: private track day we're doing, 1/2 the cars are 991 GT3. So they are getting driven.

I think your RSA you keep. Its a sign nobody threw out a price.

These is one for sale in Fl for $400k, nice 964 RS NGT Clubsports are typically in listed for sale in high 300's. I have no idea if folks actually pay that much, which is what really matters.

I didn't really know what my RSA was when I bought it new, my first 911 (sunroof, LSD, A/C, no radio). Traded it for a '97 Targa (RSA sat on the dealer's lot for a long time and I think they lost money on it, back then I don't think they were considered collector cars). Still have nostalgia about it and check rsamerica.net every year or two. Prices have gone through the roof.

I still have the original RSA floor mats, maybe they are worth a grand or so now. Any takers?
