Admit it, other than the monetary value placed on coupes, that rear window is a mistake.

It's an oversized (for a petite car) junky looking slab of square glass that someone slapped on their last design spec at the last minute. It makes absolutely no sense on that gorgeous car.

A disinterested person just pointed that out to me (my 9 year old) and said, why did someone photoshop that horrible thing onto a Porsche? I told her, it's no photoshop, that's how they come from the factory!

I was taken aback because I never looked at the rear window as it actually fits with there car. It's gross. The reason was because I was looking at the engineering marvel that is the Targa rear window. Gorgeously curved to fit the rear of the car. Genius.

Sorry to have to break it to you coupe guys. 9 year old's don't lie.


(Just kidding, not really but take it with a grain of salt if you get salty).

Sorry probably a terrible 'joke'/rant, but very tired of the Targa vs Coupe 'thing'.

Gotta defend my little Targa and throw it back at you coupe guys (take it for what it's worth!)

The only thing I hate about my coupes rear window is that third brake light and rear wiper. Looking forward to the day I replace that window with on sans the light and rear wiper.

I think a coupe looks better than a targa that has the top on, but a targa with the top off looks best.

Coupe glass looks fine to me, I love the visibility from the inside. My sister has a new Mazda 6.. Talk about no visibility. The glass is so angled you can't see anything out back. Feels unsafe!

All jokes aside, would be great to see a few more modded targas around. A local guy by me has a modded G-body targa and its pretty spot on.

Whatever you do, don't ever let anyone force you or your daughter to buy a coupe. I can see how strongly you both feel about this!

On the other hand, I like the rear window on the coupe but don't feel the need to tell anyone else their car is ugly.

To be honest I think the rear glass is one of my favorite parts of my car. It also provides incredible visibility. Then again, I am also the guy who loves the top of the door window frame on the Coupé and the way it sort of slopes down in a very elegant fashion......
