Default Heater blowers

Hi guys, hoping you can help with a little problem.
I recently removed the engine and tiptronic box from my C2 so I could get the box refurbed. It's all refitted now and running well but I've got an odd problem. When I start the car the blowers only work for a couple of seconds then they go off. When I removed the engine I broke one of the connectors on the resistor that clips into the pipe from the fan in the engine bay so I replaced it with a new one but it made no difference to the inop cabin blowers, I'm sure it's somthing simple but I can't put my finger on it! Any ideas what I'm missing?

Many thanks
Ian

You can use the search function and find solutions to most of the commonly discussed problems. HERE is an excellent site for HVAC problems.

You most probably have a problem with the rear fan circuitry. I would bet the fans work fine at minimum temperature setting. Check the rear fan operation according to my DIY procedure crg53 kindly linked to above.
Cheers,
