Guys we need to discard this. It is all wrong full of misinformation.
Subtract at a minimum 60 cars from each VIN for each MY for US or 1057 for 89 US spec C4's. But that number includes the Canadian cars as well. There is more wrong about this chart than right.

Maybe, I didn't make it. I pulled it from this website, and i trust Adrian's research, but he probably did not build this chart.

In just C2/C4 coupes there are nearly 2000 less made than initially believed. Also all the turbo and specialty model info is wrong. For the US Subtract 60 cars per VIN for every year every category and then there are the double counted M718 cars. It gets quite complex but these are some of the rarer Porsche's made at least for the US market.
Adrian made a valiant effort and was one of the pioneers in compiling this info but so much has been learned in the last few years. Nothing against him Porsche is so secretive and their records are a mystery but enthusiasts are narrowing the numbers down.
For instance a total of 335 94 turbo 3.6's came to the US with 15 package cars, 39 Turbo S's and 2 X88 optioned cars. As you can see these numbers aren't close to what is listed.

Also have to add that it's model year, not calendar...
Mine's a November '89 C2, which is probably listed as a '90 in that chart, that or it doesn't exist!!!
Sorry if I'm stating the obvious...

Has anyone yet compiled a chart that reflects the current known or suspected 964 production info? Given how often Mr. Streather's chart pops up on the various forums, a similar but updated chart probably would see significant distribution.
